Our Upcoming Projects for 2026
Work Around The Farm
Wood Milling
We are thrilled to get to work producing building material sourced from our own land using our new wood miller.
Farming Workshops
We will offer workshops throughout the year over animal care, the basics of sustainability, and permaculture.
Volunteer Opportunities
There is always plenty to do around the farm, especially with the new baby goats arriving and our new tools.
Events
14th annual Fall Harvest Festival
Second Saturday of November on Railway St, Kingsbury, TX.
Natural Building
Sculptural Garden Entry Gate
This Fall we aim to begin construction on our sculptural tiered garden gate at the front entrance of Habitable Spaces.
Building Workshops
We will have many opportunities for natural building workshops with the construction of our new entry gate to Habitable Spaces! We will be building with cob, adobe, super adobe, and ferrocement.
“Our Town” Grant Project
In September of 2025 we were awarded the Our Town Grant, courtesy of the National Endowment for the Arts. This Grant has allowed us to kick off the Kingsbury Commons Project, one of our largest collaborative public projects yet. The 2-year long project is comprised of 4 phases. All of the building aspects of the project will include volunteer workshops, so stay tuned for announcements for when and where they will be.
The Kingsbury Commons
In partnership with the City of Kingsbury, we will be working alongside the renovation of the Kingsbury City Hall to construct a public pavilion to host festivals and events, as well as provide disaster relief to provide emergency heating, cooling, and shelter.
Perennial Food Forest
In collaboration with the creators of the Festival Beach Food Forest, we will be bringing an edible food garden to downtown Kingsbury.
Project Documentary
Former artist in residence, Jessica Gardner, will be filming throughout the duration of the project. The finale of the project will be the premiere of the feature-length documentary.
This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts. To find out more about how National Endowment for the Arts grants impact individuals and communities, visit www.arts.gov.
