KINGSBURY FALL HARVEST 2020
Come to downtown Kingsbury SAT NOV 14TH for our 9th Annual Fall Harvest Festival and join us for a day of outdoor festivities in Kingsbury.*

7-11AM: Start your morning with the Kingsbury Fire Department Pancake Breakfast.
9AM-4PM: make your way over to the Kingsbury Aerodrome Fly-In for a unique experience with antique cars & airplanes from the World War I era. 12-6PM: in downtown Kingsbury, explore the farmer and artisan’s market featuring original artwork, pop up art show, film screening, farming crafts and so much more! Habitable Spaces is bringing back the Trading Post, an interactive booth where folks can trade something they made or grew for art, cheese, bread, pickles, jams, and many more surprises! Be sure to bring something to trade!
FALL HARVEST 2020 OPEN CALL:
We invite you to create an art piece that will be exhibited as part of a competition at this year’s Fall Harvest Festival. The artwork will be judged by a panel curated by Habitable Spaces administration with prize ribbons in each category. The grand prize winner will receive a blue ribbon and $100 in cash. After the competition, the pieces will be auctioned off during the festival and the proceeds will go to support the Kingsbury Volunteer Fire Department and the Fall Harvest Festival.
ARTWORK MUST FIT INTO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
1) ONE MAN’S TRASH IS ANOTHER’S TREASURE: Take something that has been discarded and make it into something with value.
2) ART ON THE RANGE:
Create a public art piece for display in an outdoor space in the country. All pieces must fit into the following categories:
a. AGRICULTURAL: Materials in the piece must be agriculturally based –OR-
b. ECO-DEGRADABLE: When the piece decays, it must give back to the place it inhabits.
Registration deadline is FRI OCT 23RD
Pieces must be delivered by SAT NOV 7TH and will be on view all week until the Fall Harvest Festival
Prize ribbons awarded FRI NOV 13TH
After the auction on SAT NOV 14TH, artist or teams will co-ordinate with buyer about installation on their property.
