SUMMER SOLSTICE FILM FESTIVAL

Summer Solstice Film Festival

Bring a chair or a blanket and join us on June 15th from 4pm to 11pm to celebrate the natural beauty of Texas with programming that delves into all aspects of nature. Join Ian Naibor Lanphear and Kelsea Featherstone on a walk to discover the wild edible and medicinal plants in our forest. Learn about the lifecycle of Monarch butterflies with Leah Brisco, take a class on mushroom identification with the Central Texas Mycological Society, and watch the Greenhorn’s documentary on young farmers as they learn the rewards and challenges of starting a farm.

Workshops start at 4, movies begin at sundown. All events are free and open to the public. Local Beer, and wine available for purchase, food and homemade ice cream trucks serving fresh food for your dining pleasure.

Some of this year's festival is about farming. Here is a link for the trailer of one of the films we will be showing: https://youtu.be/zH7o3fxw6oE
