Permablitz at Habitable Spaces
On December 5th and 6th, 2015, the Austin Permaculture Guild hosted a Permablitz at Habitable Spaces. A permablitz is a community organized and supported event to spread permaculture design, practice, and implementation through out the Central Texas Area. In the two days of the blitz we installed a greywater harvesting system, boomerang tree berms, and a culinary herb garden. The boomerang berms were planted with native perennials and butterfly and hummingbird attracting plant mixes. Thanks so much to Kirby Fry, Nadia Gaona, Jason Shrader and Dani Slabaugh for all of their help in planning the event, and to all of the amazing and enthusiastic gardeners that we had to achieve our goal!
