2015 FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL
On November 14th, Habitable Spaces held its 4th annual Fall Harvest Festival in Historic Downtown Kingsbury. The event was a great success, with over 15 local artisans and vendors. We had a full day of live music by the Brushy Creek Boys, and the Manzy Lowry Band, as well as Habitable Spaces trading post, in which art and handmade goods were traded for fresh baked bread, pesto, and handmade soaps. The Drugan family set up a petting zoo, which was a big hit for children and adults alike, and our new mayor, Shirley Nolen, got some fame with the kids by displaying a duck slide, in which baby ducks swim and play on a mini water slide built just for them! Big Dog Studio was holding a drawing class that day as well, and students learned contour and blind contour line drawing.
